De la mà de l’autor Vicent Climent i un extens estudi d’aquesta edificació tan important per al patrimoni del poble del Marquesat, el projecte didàctic ‘Per tot’ desenvolupat per l’associació Escola Valenciana i el segell Reclam tindrà una novetat per a traslladar als alumnes valencians
Història i sentiment de pertinença a un poble. Elements indispensables per tal de fer un llibre excel·lent sobre el poble que t’ho ha donat tot. Esta sensació està experimentant-la estos primers dies de 2022 el documentalista i escriptor Vicent Ferrando qui ha vist un dels seus objectius complits al publicar ‘El Castell d’Alfarb’, la pròxima obra de Reclam Editorial. El llibre serà un anàlisi i homenatge a esta edificació històrica, ‘la més important del patrimoni d’Alfarb’ en paraules del propi Climent i que, durant tota la seua existència ha patit molts processos molts processos de devaluació i deterioració, fins al seu estat actual, totalment readaptada i amb el seu millor estat estructural.
El castell va ser construït pels àrabs en el segle XII, aprofitant les restes d’un antic poblat romà. Més tard, l’edificació va passar per diverses propietats: primer la de Jaume I, que després va fer lliurament d’ella a Pere de Montagut i aquest, al seu torn, a les famílies Centelles i Borja, que foren els seus amos fins a la fi del règim senyorial. Els moriscos van contribuir a la seua conservació temps després, però amb la seua expulsió en 1609, l’edifici va caure en un estat de ruïna crònica fins a 1991. En eixe any, ja en poder de l’Ajuntament d’Alfarb, es va rehabilitar fins a obrir-se al públic l’any 2021.
Ara compta amb una altura més que fa destacar el Castell respecte a les cases que l’envolten, donant-li una aparença externa més destacada, com ocorreix a edificacions semblants, com la situada a Antella. Per a l’autor de l’obra és clau que es publiquen libres d’este tipus per a que els més joves coneguen tota la historia del seu entorn: “Publicacions com esta, donen ferramentes docents a les escoles per tal de traslladar cultura, historia i patrimonio. L’aposta de Reclam per la literatura juvenil es digna d’admirar”. Este llibre, a més, formarà part de la col·lecció ‘Per tot’, que el segell editorial està treballant junt a l’associació ‘Escola Valenciana’.
“Com a veí del poble, és un orgull publicar sobre Alfarb. És una posada en valor de tot el nostre, no sols per a les escoles, sinó per a tots els veïns i veïnes”.
