Reclam Editorial presenta un poemari que retracta les conseqüències catastròfiques d’una sèrie de ‘mals’ històrics
La riquesa naix del patiment. No sols, per descomptat, però és un ingredient fructífer. La societat valenciana ha creat una de les cultures més riques i meravelloses del món malgrat (o gràcies) als contratemps, als accidents, als cataclismes. Morir i nàixer. Caure i tornar. ‘El llibre de les devastacions’, la nova publicació de Reclam Editorial junt a l’escriptor Jaume Noguera, ho analitza. El llibre, aquesta vegada, és un poemari, molt diferent a l’habitual aposta per la prosa que ha fet durant els darrers mesos el segell editorial. L’obra representa la necessitat de tornar als orígens de qualsevol cosa, de tot, a la tradició que sempre ens ha marcat com a poble valencià, disseccionant en diversos poemes els diferents desgràcies que ha patit el patrimoni i que l’ha portat a una situació delicada des de la que redefinir-se i créixer. Una d’elles, tal vegada la més representativa pel seu impacte a Xaló, zona de residència de l’autor, és la plaga incontrolable que ha acabat amb la majoria de cultius d’ametlers. “Es una més. Un element que ha vingut de fora per a tirar per terra tota la feina feta durant molts anys, per a trencar la nostra tradició”, comenta l’autor Jaume Noguera, qui afix: “La tradició no és dolenta. Cal seguir-la, i no només com a argument a un programa polític. Cal seguir-la de veres. Millorar-la i actualitzar-la si cal, per descomptat, però treballar perquè la nostra història no s’apague”.
Noguera explica per què ha apostat per la poesia, encara que també ha treballat amb novel·la i assaig: “La poesia em permet sintetitzar. Anar al gra. Tal vegada, per a escriure novel·la i prosa, en general, cal enredar-se més. A la poesia no. Es conten les coses com són i, al meu estil, sempre enllaçant la sonoritat d’un vers amb el següent. Té una bellesa increïble aquest gènere”. L’autor de Xaló no ha deixat passar l’oportunitat, a més, per a destacar el paper que està fent l’editorial Reclam en aquesta línia, la de la promoció del patrimoni valencià: “És molt necessari per a la conservació del nostre patrimoni. També de la nostra identitat”.
