La nova novel·la del segell Reclam Editorial ha sigut presentada al Castell de Riba-roja de Túria amb un ambient excepcional i la presència d’alguns mites del món che.
El món del valencianisme va abraçar ahir Roberto Gil en la presentació del seu nou llibre il·lustrat que relata la seua història esportiva i personal. Diferents mites del món che van voler acudir a Riba-roja per mostrar la seua estima per un jugador històric que va dedicar els seus esforços durant dècades a fer gran el València CF. Dia de nervis i il·lusió. L’Editorial Reclam s’ha encarregat de ‘Les cosetes de Roberto Gil, un capità tranquil’. La història, que realitza un recorregut per la vida i carrera del mític futbolista de Paterna, destacant aspectes del seu joc i personalitat com la seua eterna tranquil·litat, ha sigut escrita per Josep Franco i il·lustrada per Esperança Martínez.
L’acte de presentació va tindre lloc, a partir de les 19:00 hores al castell de Riba-roja de Túria, i va comptar entre d’altres, amb la presència del propi Roberto Gil, que no volia perdre’s l’oportunitat d’agrair el gest del segell editorial i de l’autor. També van acudir alguns dels mites més il·lustres del valencianisme, com Ricardo Arias, Fernando Giner o Pep Claramunt, que van vore com el seu company d’equip rebia un merescut homenatge.
El propi Roberto Gil va mostrar la seua gratitud a totes les persones que han fet possible tant el llibre com l’acte de presentació. Un acte al van acudir diverses personalitats dins del món del valencianisme i la literatura. En representació de l’Editorial Reclam va estar Arturo Blasco, qui va destacar la figura de Gil al nostre patrimoni esportiu: “Roberto Gil engrandeix el nostre repertori. És un emblema del valencianisme i un exemple de compromís”. L’autor, Josep Franco, va voler destacar els seus valors humans: “El llibre és didàctic, amb valors humans com els que té Roberto Gil. Treballar en equip, assumir l derrota, donar la cara… També és un llibre divertit, per a tots els públics”.
No podia faltar el València Club de Futbol, club de la seua vida. Swee Wei Teo, director general de la Fundación VCF, que va enaltir la seua figura en la història del club: “Este libro ayuda a divulgar el patrimonio de nuestro fútbol y Roberto Gil es una leyenda che. Con más de 300 partidos está en nuestro corazón valencianista”. Per a finalitzar va intervindre l’alcalde de la Riba-roja de Túria, Robert Raga, que va senyalar a Gil com la figura esportiva més important del municipi: “Roberto Gil és una escola de valors. Pocs poden dir que han sigut tantes coses com ell i disposen d’un sentiment tan profund. És la figura esportiva més important que hem tingut a Riba-roja. Gent de poble, humil, treballadora. Amb valors. Per això el llibre arribarà a tots els col·legis del nostre municipi”. La presentació va concloure amb l’entrega, per part del periodista Paco Lloret, del cartell del seu partit homenatge a l’any 1971.
La novel·la realitza un curiós recorregut per la seua vida, recopilant, a més, alguns dels moments més icònics de la seua carrera professional, com la victòria al Bernabéu a la Copa del Rei del any 1967, les dues Copes de Fira als anys 1962 i 1963 i la lliga de l’any 1971 a Sarrià.
